Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

Geeks of Doom is reporting that filming has officially started on the sequel to Boondock Saints.  I know Codiac will be excited.  Below is a video with Sean Patrick Flanery answering fan questions from their You Tube channel for those of you who doubt.

An Inconvenient Truth: The Movie

I rarely go out to the movies, but I am in San Francisco this week and my hotel is right next to a movie theatre that shows art house & independent films.  And since we flew in on Sunday, I had a some free time that evening to make my way over (after supper of course) and watch the new Al Gore movie, "An Inconvenient Truth."

The movie is based off the slideshow he's been giving for years about global warming, however it is updated with recent data and is interspersed with biographical information about Al Gore.  All that being said, I did find the movie interesting.  If the science proves to be true, we are heading for some serious trouble. I am asking our resident scientist, "Codiac", our resident expert on climate change, "Oracle", and our legal expert, "Mensrea" to go out and see the movie and let me know their thoughts regarding the data and conclusion presented.  Regardless of your politics, I think this movie is worth seeing, if only to open the dialogue.

I will close by agreeing with all the pundits who said that if Vice President Gore had displayed this amount of personality during the 2000 presidential campaign, he would not only have one the popular vote, but the electoral college as well.

Advent Children

Okay, so I went into Wal-Mart looking for some J-B Weld.  Didn't find it, but I did find this:  Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.  At freakin' WAL-MART!

Anywho, I got it.  Just got through watching it.  All I can say is, DAMN!

If you have any kind of familiarity with the game, buy this!  I cannot stress it enough.  The voice acting leaves a bit to be desired but the story is just downright excellent.  Oracle, my man, you need this movie.

Well, I guess that's it.

Oh, and O'Reilly's carries J-B Weld if anyone was wondering.

Too Quiet

Things have gotten way to quiet here. We need a lively discussion.

Hmm, what to discuss? There's always the 9mm vs. 45acp debate. Nah, that gets too nasty too quick. Hottest yodeling supermodel/beer commercial chick? Eh, too cliched. Hmm, this is a tough one.

Oh, I know - Tell me what you think of the radical foreign policy shifts in Nousfarqistan enacted by the Prime High Muckety-muck as a reaction to the violence and risque sexual scenes in Amish movies. Luck or careful planning?

There. That should get the conversation rolling.
