Gun Laws and Violent Crime

As I was surfing the web, I happened upon some intresting research compiled by Canadian Professor Gary A. Mauser at the Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies, Faculty of Business Administration of Simon Fraser University.

Linked below are his presentation and speech to the annual meeting of American Society of Criminology in 2004.

Quote from the Abstract: "The results of this study show that British-style firearm laws have not reduced violent crime rates in any of the countries examined. In contrast, homicide and violent crime rates have fallen dramatically in the United States over the past decade. General gun laws have not been found to make societies safer. Criminal violence is predicted to increase in both Brazil and South Africa. "

Is there a Dave Chapelle Conspiracy?

True or False...I am just not sure.

According to this web site, a group called the "The Dark Crusaders" which include Oprah Winfrey, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Cosby and muslim leader Louis Farrakhan were working together to ensure that the third season of Chappelle's Show would never happen.
