I do plan on trying Nostradamus by Brasserie Caracole, if I can locate a retailer.

I would have liked to throw my weight behind the Squirrel Beer – Eichhof Braugold – but, I haven’t tried it, nor can I find any U.S. distribution for it. isPermaLink="false">http://www.junyor.net/2005/10/02/well/#comment-74

My comments... oh yes... my comments.
To start with, I would be amiss if I didn't start with probably my all time favorite brewery. Any beer produced by Brouwerij 't IJ would be a perfect match as an official beer. Specifically, I would suggest the Struis which is a dark ale. Do be ready for a kick, this ale comes in at about 14% alcohol. HOLD UP! Before I hear the comments about high % ales don't taste good, you must know that this brewery has risen above that age old addage. Their beers generally are 14% or above and by far, the greatest tasting beers I have had as a whole from one single brewery. Plus, its in Amsterdam, need I say more?
Moving away from Netherlands we move south to Belgium. There we find ourselves appreciating the finer qualities of Nostradamus by Brasserie Caracole. Nostradamus is a very complex artisanal Wallonian strong brown ale, rich, warming, little piquant in the mouth with liquorice, mocha flavors, pear and toasted bread background notes, perfect after-dinner drink or night cap. Ok so I cut and pasted that, but sounded cool eh? Do notice this beer comes in at 9.5% so it does give you that nice kick as well.
Staying in Belgium, we have a more known ale, Duvel by Brouwerij Moortgat. Translated, this means The Devil. And after a few of these, you will swear the name is spot on proper. Its punch is a mild 8.5% alcohol.
Of course, who knows brewing better than monks? Seems that is about all they have really succeeded at, besides silence or humming chants. You know in cheerleading we led chants too, maybe should record an album. Perhaps the monks who best exemplify their expertise in zymurgy are the Trappist Monks. There are six monasteries that brew their own lagers all of which are in Belgium. Again, any of these would suffice as an epic official beer.
On different notes, there is nothing wrong with a Big Ass, even Sir-Mix-A-Lot sang a ballad about this topic. Nor is anything wrong with a Squirrel Beer?!?!?!? (ok so read why he would by a case!).
Of course, I can always offer more suggestions.

My comments… oh yes… my comments.

To start with, I would be amiss if I didn’t start with probably my all time favorite brewery. Any beer produced by <a
